Stress and Trauma Aware Yoga Part II: Workshop Series

$399.00

Tuesdays from 5:30pm - 7:30pm starting in August 2025

Chronic stress and trauma deeply impact our nervous systems, self-image, and relationships. This advanced 8-hour training delves into therapeutic yoga to address relational and attachment-based wounds, bridging psychological insights and embodiment practices.

This training is also for those who want to work mindfully with others in a nervous system and trauma-informed way like therapists, coaches, teachers and medical professionals.

In this 8-hour training, you will learn about:

  • How polyvagal theory relates to yoga and resilience

  • The 5 layers of self-awareness in yoga philosophy (the Koshas)

  • Parusha, Prakriti, and the 3 Gunas as they relate to balance

  • Practical uses of the 7 Chakras and the vagus nerve connection

  • The role of fascia, energy channels, and breath

  • Finding balance between effort and ease (Sthira and Sukha) in practice

  • Trauma recovery through the Eight Limbs of Yoga

  • Yoga as a way to build resilience and self-awareness

After this workshop you will be able to:

  • Apply attachment theory in yoga with a compassionate approach

  • Understand how social rejection impacts physical pain

  • Identify trauma responses in movement practices

  • See how posture affects the vagus nerve and nervous system health

  • Use yoga techniques to support resilience and self-awareness

  • Provide tools that help people manage stress and feel more grounded in their daily lives

  • Guide others toward a sense of wholeness and self-directed growth

For people with complex trauma and PTSD, this workshop is best done in conjunction with a licensed mental health specialist. Our scope of practice for this workshop is on understanding our stress responses and cultivating resilience, not specifically trauma on resolution.

Practice will be held at a private studio space in Leavenworth, Washington.
