Holding Grief in Community: A Mindfulness-Based Grief Processing Group
Co-Facilitated by Aimee Huffman, E-RYT 500, C-IATY & Jenelle Landgraf, MSW, LICSW
Thursdays from 6:30pm - 8:00pm starting in March 5th, 2026
About the Group
This eight-week group offers a supportive space for processing grief in community. Rather than trying to fix, resolve, or move grief along, we focus on creating room for it to be witnessed with care, presence, and compassion.
Grief can arise from many experiences, including loss, change, trauma, illness, or experiences that were never fully acknowledged. Participants are invited to meet their grief as it is, alongside others who are also carrying something tender.
What to expect:
This group is mindfulness-based and gently paced. Sessions include a combination of:
Grounding and mindfulness practices
Nervous system awareness
Gentle movement and breath
Guided reflection
Group and paired sharing
The group is structured to support safety, connection, and thoughtful listening, with clear guidelines that help create a respectful and contained environment.
Is This Group a Good Fit?
This group is intended for adults who:
Are seeking a supportive space to process grief
Have a basic level of emotional stability
Are not currently in acute crisis or major life transition
This offering may be supportive for individuals with complex trauma or PTSD when participated in alongside ongoing work with a licensed mental health professional.
A brief phone consultation is required prior to enrollment to help ensure this group feels like a supportive fit.
